Cad administrator- A Cad administrator is a person who typically installs, implements, maintains the cad software and cad drawing vaults for companies. This position is often part of the engineering team or IT department. Many times he is the person who most closely interfaces with the IT department on the engineering department’s behalf as well as interfacing with the VAR (Value Added Reseller) Cad software provider to coordinate upgrades, training and complex troubleshooting and customization. Typically this role is filled by a senior drafter/designer or IT person or engineer. This position usually has a dotted line to the director of engineering or IT.          Using sql or vba to run reports or create macros
         Providing reports to managers on different matrices in the cad software or drawing vault
         Setting up online or electronic training in cad software
         Working with IT and VAR to make changes to the software or vault located on the server
